Sonamarg, Jan 15 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while addressing a gathering at the inauguration of the Z-Morh Tunnel in Sonamarg, reaffirmed the region’s commitment to peace and progress despite decades of challenges.
“Unfortunately, in the last 35-37 years, thousands of people here sacrificed their lives for the progress of this country and the development of Jammu and Kashmir,” Abdullah said.
Speaking in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Abdullah stated that the inauguration of the tunnel was a strong message to those who seek to disrupt peace in the region.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Prime Minister Sahib, your presence here today at this program is a testimony to the fact that those who carry out these attacks, those who don't want the betterment of this country, those who don't want to see peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir, can never succeed,” he said.
He further asserted, “We will always defeat them and send them back from here.”
The inauguration of the Z-Morh Tunnel is expected to enhance connectivity, boost tourism, and strengthen development in the region. (KNS)
