'Terror-Free J&K' Goal Achievable Soon: Amit Shah in high-level meeting

Srinagar, Dec 19(KNS): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, today chaired a high-level security review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir in the national capital. 

The meeting, attended by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary, intelligence chiefs, and senior military and police officials, reaffirmed the government's resolve to achieve a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.

 

In his address, Shah emphasized the government’s adherence to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Zero Tolerance Policy against terrorism, pledging that every possible resource will be deployed to establish complete dominance over terror networks. 

 

He lauded the unprecedented public participation in the recently held Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, terming it a testament to the people’s faith in India’s democratic framework.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

 

“The Modi government is committed to ensuring peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir,” the Home Minister said. “Sustained and coordinated efforts have dismantled the eco-system of terrorism in the region, leading to a sharp decline in terrorist incidents, infiltration attempts, and youth recruitment by terrorist outfits.”

 

He commended the security forces for their tireless work and emphasized the need for continued vigilance and collaboration among agencies. Directing the implementation of the Area Domination Plan and the Zero Terror Plan in mission mode, Shri Shah called for a consolidated approach to ensure lasting peace in the region.(KNS).
