Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government announced on Wednesday that a total of 135,925 houses have been built under the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Awaas Yojana (PMAY-G) in the past two years.
In response to a query from MLA Arjun Gupta, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj stated that, following the saturation of the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 and AwaasPlus database, there is no specific target set for the 2024-25 financial year.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
However, the minister confirmed that the remaining target of 140,021 houses from previous phases will be completed within the current fiscal year. Of the total houses built, 109,412 were in Jammu Division, and 26,513 were in Kashmir Division. (KNS)
