Qazigund, Mar 27 (KNS): Seventeen people were injured in a road accident inside the Banihal-Qazigund Nayug Tunnel on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred when an SRTC bus traveling from Jammu to Srinagar crashed within the tunnel, resulting in injuries to the passengers.
Dr. Shugufta Salam, the Medical Superintendent of Emergency Hospital Qazigund, confirmed that all 17 injured individuals were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for further treatment.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelTwo of the passengers are undergoing surgery, while the remaining passengers are reported to be stable.
The police have taken cognizance of the incident, and an investigation is underway.(KNS)
