Srinagar, July 28 (KNS): With the temperature reaching 35.3°C at 3 PM, Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is poised to experience a record-breaking heatwave on Sunday.
Independent weather forecaster Adil Maqbool informed Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 35.3°C at 3 PM on Sunday. If it surpasses 36.2°C, it will break the 30-year record set in 1995.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Srinagar experienced the hottest night of the season on Saturday evening, with temperatures recorded at 24.6°C. This temperature was 5.8°C above normal, marking the third highest temperature in the last 132 years.
The second highest all-time minimum temperature was recorded on July 26, 2021, at 24.8°C, while the highest was 25.2°C on July 21, 1988.(KNS)
