Baramulla, June 21 (KNS): The 584th annual Urs of the revered 15th-century saint, Hazrat Syed Haji Mohamad Murad Bukhari (AR), will be observed in Kreeri, Baramulla, on Sunday, June 23, 2024 (16th Zulhajh 1445).
Hazrat Syed Haji Mohamad Murad Bukhari is a descendant of Hazrat Syed Jalaudeen Jahan Ghast Bukhari (AR), who arrived in Kashmir a year before the advent of Hazrat Shahi-Hamadan (AR).
The local Auqaf has planned a series of events for the occasion. The observance will begin with a night-long awakening on Sunday evening, featuring the recitation of Darood u Azkar, Khatmat ul Muzamat, Naat u Manaqib, and discussions on the life and teachings of the saint.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Devotees will have the opportunity to view the holy relics after each Namaz on Monday and the following Fridays. The Urs will conclude with a closing ceremony on Friday, July 3, 2024, after prayers.
The Urs is expected to draw a large number of devotees who come to pay their respects and participate in the spiritual activities commemorating the saint's legacy.(KNS)
