9 Feet Punt gun seized near Wular Lake in Bandipora

Bandipora Feb 22  (KNS): The authorities on Saturday captured one punt gun in the wetland area of mandi Kulhama village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

An official of Gama Unit Forest Protection Force Bandipora said that a punt gun was dumped in the wetland area of Kulhama village. 

He said that the punt gun was seized by the anti-poaching team of the Forest Protection Force in the vicinity of the banks of Wular Lake in the Kulhama area.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Notably, the utilization of punt guns in the vicinity of Wular Lake is forbidden by the authorities, but residents assert despite prohibition hunters use locally manufactured firearms to slaughter wetland birds with impunity.

Earlier, many punt guns were apprehended from wular lake. (KNS)
