Srinagar, Nov 18(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned educationist and former Vice-Chancellor of Kashmir University, Professor Abdul Wahid Qureshi and described his demise as a big loss to the academic and literary circles.
In condolence message, AAC paid glowing tribute to the decades-long educational services of the late Professor Qureshi, saying that his invaluable contributions as the head of Kashmir’s premier academic institution will always be remembered.

AAC and its Chairman Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Professor Qureshi’s sons, thousands of his students and the people of Karnah. He also prayed to Almighty Allah for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul’ and patience for the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, AAC expressed sorrow over the demise of the mother of renowned broadcaster Mr Talha Jahangir Rahmani. AAC conveyed condolences and sympathy to Mr Talha Jahangir and the other family members and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul.(KNS).
