AC Issues in GMC Anantnag to Be Resolved Within Days: Dr. Sanjeet Risam

Anantnag, May 26 (KNS): Responding to complaints regarding non-functional air conditioners in several wards of Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag, Dr. Sanjeet Risam, Incharge Medical Superintendent and Head of the Dentistry Department, assured that the issue is being addressed on priority.

Speaking to KNS senior correspondent Tassaduq Rashid, Dr. Risam confirmed that a comprehensive report was prepared last week during floor fumigation, and the necessary equipment orders were placed. “Approximately 70% of the installations have been completed, and the remaining work, including in the ICU, will be finalized within the next two days,” he stated.

He informed that while one ICU air conditioner is functional, two units remain out of order as they require parts to be sourced from outside.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“In the meantime, wall fans and exhaust systems have been installed to manage the situation. The mechanical division is providing full support, and complete functionality will be restored shortly,” he added.

Dr. Risam also appealed to attendants to limit their presence inside hospital wards due to the ongoing heatwave. “A restricted number of attendants ensures a more comfortable environment for patients and helps prevent overcrowding,” he advised.

He assured the public that minor technical issues in other wards would also be addressed within three to four days, reaffirming the hospital administration’s commitment to patient care and comfort. (KNS)
