Bandipora, Oct 24 (KNS): The key administrative post of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) in Bandipora has been lying vacant for the past eight months, causing serious delays in official work and growing frustration among the residents.
Official sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that several important files are pending clearance in various departments, including those related to the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and other developmental schemes, due to the absence of a senior officer to monitor and approve them.
Locals said that the prolonged vacancy has badly affected developmental and administrative functioning across the district. “Many public welfare projects have slowed down or are stuck midway because there is no one to take timely decisions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe are facing immense inconvenience,” said a resident.
They expressed disappointment that the district continues to suffer administrative neglect despite having three sitting MLAs. “It is unfortunate that with three elected representatives, Bandipora still remains without an ADDC for such a long time,” another resident added.
People have urged the government to take immediate steps to fill the vacant post so that the routine administrative work and developmental activities can return to normal pace.
“The government must appoint a full-time ADDC at the earliest to ensure that the district administration functions smoothly and public grievances are addressed on time,” the locals appealed.(KNS)
