Admin Holds Meeting with Residents Over Water Scarcity Issue in Pattan

Pattan, 24 July (KNS)A crucial meeting was held today at the SDPO office in Pattan to address recent protests against the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department over water scarcity and other public grievances in sub division pattan area of North Kashmirs Baramulla district.
 
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS)The meeting was led by SDM Pattan Gulzar Ahmed Rather (JKAS), along with SDPO Pattan Shahjahan Choudhary (JKPS), and SHO Pattan Inspector Mohammad Shafi Naik. Concerned PHE AEE Er. Mudasir Ahmad and other officials from various departments also attended the meeting.
 
Representatives from both the Shia and Sunni communities were present to discuss the issues affecting the public. The officers emphasized that citizens should first bring their grievances to the relevant department before resorting to protests or blocking highways.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe administration warned that blocking the national highway for any demands in the future would not be tolerated.
 
As per (KNS)The meeting was organized in response to recent blockades on the national highway in Pattan. The PHE department explained that the water shortage is due to a significant change in climate, with a massive heatwave affecting the region. Despite these challenges, the PHE department assured that they are working hard to ensure every household receives water supply.
 
The community thanked the civil and police administration for holding the grievance redressal meeting, providing a platform to discuss and address their concerns.(KNS)
