Srinagar, March 15 (KNS): Member of Parliament from Srinagar, Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, has raised serious concerns over the government's response regarding the timeline for the submission of a report on the reservation review. Taking to social media, Mehdi questioned whether the statement in the government's reply was a clerical error or a misleading assertion.
Referring to the line stating, “no specific timeline has been fixed for submitting the report”, Mehdi expressed his shock, stating that he had refrained from commenting on the matter earlier, as the students had received an assurance from the Chief Minister. However, the latest response has led him to believe that the assurance given to students may have been misleading.
“If it is not a clerical error or miscommunication between the department and the Chief Minister’s office, then it is a blatant lie and betrayal of the students who trusted the government,” Mehdi remarked.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe further stated that there could be no greater political failure than an elected government deceiving its people.
The MP emphasized that he would not remain silent on the issue and vowed to take it up again. He urged the government to clarify the matter, hoping that the response was an error rather than a deliberate act of misinformation.
Students and concerned citizens have been awaiting clarity on the reservation review, and Mehdi’s statement has further intensified the demand for transparency from the authorities. (KNS)
