Ahad Zargar Day Observed in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 12 (KNS): The annual Ahad Zargar Day was celebrated today at the shrine of renowned Sufi poet and saint Abdul Ahad Zargar in Narwara, Srinagar.

Thousands of people from across Kashmir gathered to pay tribute, as folk artists performed soulful renditions of Zargar’s Sufi poetry. Eminent writers, intellectuals, academics, and members of civil society attended the event.

On the occasion, the Ahad Zargar Memorial Awards were presented to writer Mushtaq Barq for his writings and translations of Sufi poetry, and to singer Gulzar Ahmad Ganai for his contribution to folk music.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe awards were conferred by Foundation Chairman Rafiq Raaz and Patron Khurshid Zargar.
