Srinagar, Nov 06(KNS): Ahmad Ayaz, a social activist, extends his condolences on the passing of Moomin Masoodi, the nephew of Irshad Masoodi.

Moomin, a school-going child from Umar Abad HMT, lost his life in a road accident yesterday evening near Lawapora. The loss of such a young life has deeply affected those who knew him.

Ayaz also pointed out that while death is a natural occurrence, the negligence of the Traffic Department has contributed to the high accident rate on the Shalteng-Narbal stretch. This leads to congestion, with ambulances and emergency vehicles often caught in gridlock due to blocked paths. Public transport vehicles, such as Sumos, buses, and Taveras, also stop in the middle of the road, making traffic worse.

Ahmad Ayaz called for immediate attention to these issues. He emphasized the need to hold traffic personnel accountable and take action against those neglecting their duties. Only through strict enforcement and effective traffic management can safety be improved on this route, preventing further accidents and easing traffic for commuters.(KNS).
