Srinagar, January 26 (KNS): Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) has raised serious concerns about the plight of vocational trainers in Jammu and Kashmir who have been enduring neglect and exploitation for over a decade.
AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi in a statement criticized the existing system for its failure to address their grievances despite their unwavering dedication to shaping the future of students. "Vocational trainers in J&K have faced neglect and injustice for far too long. These dedicated educators who play a crucial role in building the nation are subjected to shockingly low salaries, no allowances and degrading treatment. To make matters worse, the exploitative private companies, known as Vocational Training Partners (VTPs), have added to their misery with no job security, no provident fund, no insurance and no basic benefits," Inam Un Nabi said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Highlighting the human cost of this neglect, Inam added, "It is heart-wrenching that several trainers have died in service and yet their families have received no compensation. This is nothing short of a travesty." Demanding immediate action, the AIP leader called for the removal of private companies acting as intermediaries and urged the government to take direct responsibility for vocational trainers. "These private companies must go. The government must take over the management of vocational trainers, ensuring fair wages, allowances, job security and career development opportunities. Vocational trainers are the backbone of our education system and deserve dignity and respect," he asserted.(KNS)
