Srinagar, August 2 (KNS): The All JK Shia Association held protests across Kashmir today after Jummah Salah, condemning the brutal killing of Shia Muslims in Parachinar, Pakistan. The protests were held on the directions of AJKSA President Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, who urged people to register their outrage against the killings in his Majlis E Aza in Chinabal (Pattan) yesterday.
Protests were held at various locations, including Gupkar Shrine (Srinagar), Shadipora (Sumbal), Batpora, Khansahib (Budgam), Dadina (Budgam), and other areas, where people gathered after Jummah Salah to express their solidarity with the Shias of Parachinar.
In his sermon, Molvi Imran highlighted the plight of Shias in Parachinar, who have been killed in thousands over the past two decades. He drew parallels with the sacrifices of Imam Hussain and his family, who stood against oppression and tyranny, saying "Just like Imam Hussain and his family, the Shias of Parachinar are facing brutal oppression and we must stand with them in their time of need.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"
Molvi Imran has also written to India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, urging him to personally intervene in saving the Shias of Parachinar by summoning the Pakistan Ambassador to India.
Furthermore, Molvi Imran has requested permission from the DC Srinagar to hold a major candlelight vigil at Ghanta Ghar (Lal Chowk) this Sunday to protest the killing of Shias in Parachinar.
The All JK Shia Association demands justice, protection, and an end to sectarian violence against Shias in Parachinar and elsewhere.(KNS)
