Srinagar, February 9 (KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Sunday expressed grief and sorrow over the extensive damage caused by a devastating fire in the Sonamarg market on Saturday evening.
Pertinently, more than 50 shops, including restaurants, were gutted, resulting in significant damage to property and goods at the tourist destination of Sonamarg last evening.

Thankfully, there was no loss of life in this tragic incident. However, those affected have suffered immense losses, which is truly heartbreaking.”
Urging authorities to provide compensation to the fire victims, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “The rehabilitation process must begin soon, and the administration should not waste any time in providing assistance and adequate compensation to the victims so they can rebuild their businesses as quickly as possible.”(KNS)
