Expresses displeasure over pre-mature transfers of DySPs
SAMBA, APRIL 09 (KNS):- Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari has appealed to the Election Commission of India to announce Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir without further delay.
Addressing a public meeting and iftaar party near Sarore Toll Plaza in Samba District, Altaf Bukhari said the scheduled visit of Election Commission to Jammu and Kashmir next week has given hopes to the people in the erstwhile State as they were fed-up with the bureaucratic regime.
“Under this bureaucratic regime, the people have suffered for more than four years and the administration has failed to do any developmental work on the ground and the Chief Secretary should take a review of the developmental situation. I had come here one and half years back, but the condition of this road in Sarore which is hardly 200 meters away from Jammu-Pathankot National Highway has not changed,” he said and expressed concern over the delaying approach of the authorities towards the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that “The development activities have stopped because the bureaucrats are not answerable to the people. In this holy month of Ramadan, Navratri and upcoming festival of Baisakhi, the authorities have not been able to ensure 24/7 electricity to the people which shows their inability to work without an elected Govt.”
In this circumstance, he said that the Assembly Election should be ensured as early as possible for equitable development of all the regions without discrimination. The BJP which was voted to power in 2014 has also discriminated against the people. The BJP is responsible for the present day situation like other traditional political parties. If these political parties are again given a chance, they will work for themselves, not for the people who suffered.
Therefore, the people should vote Apni Party candidates for the fulfillment of their rights. I will ensure equal development in all the regions, he added.
He further stated that “It was only the Apni Party which came forward for the protection of land and jobs for the locals. If the Apni Party forms the next Govt in J&K, we will ensure 80% employment for the local youth in the industrial sector. We will not allow any industrial sector to establish in J&K if jobs are not provided to the local youth. Our youth are also competent, educated and talented.”
Extending support to the poor people whose state land was snatched by the administration in the name of anti-encroachment drive, he said that he took up the issue with the Union Home Ministry as well as the J&K Govt following which the drive was stopped.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Criticizing the anti-encroachment drive, he assured that his party will reinstate the state land to the poor people who were made homeless/landless.
“I assure you that not an inch of land will be allowed to be snatched from the people,” he said while assuring that his party works for all sections of society and will bring change.
He also assured the people that outsiders will not be allowed to grab the natural resources.
“Many people associated with the mining of natural resources have become jobless because mining works were allotted to the outsiders. We will not allow any outsiders to grab resources,” he further assured the people.
Appreciating J&K Police’s work in bringing normalcy in J&K, he expressed displeasure over the premature transfer of the DySPs and other officers of J&K Police from the place of their respective postings within a few months.
He advised that the institution of police should not be demeaned or weakened with frequent transfer of officers as it would demoralize the morale of the Police Department.
He also remembered the value of festivals which promote peace and mutual brotherhood among the people of different faiths.
He also referred to the supreme sacrifices given by the border residents from Kathua to Uri.
Later, the iftaar party was also hosted by the Apni Party. Prominent people, members of civil society, and others participated in the iftaar party.
Meanwhile, those who attended the meeting include Apni Party State General Secretary Vijay Bakaya, Provincial President S. Manjit Singh, ST Wing State President, Saleem Alam, District President Samba, Raman Thappa, Yaqub Ahmed Choudhary, Rashid Ahmed, Ameen Chauhan, Naib Sarpach Meen Sarkar, Adv Sahil Bharti, Lovely Mangool and others.(KNS)
