Srinagar, Feb 15 (KNS): Like all other colleges of Jammu and Kashmir, Amar Singh college Srinagar on Tuesday also resumed offline classes after several months following decline in Covid-19 cases across the Union Territory.
An official of the college told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Amar Singh College witnessed an enthusiastic approach from the faculty and students on reopening of the college.
"The college administration has put in place all the necessary arrangements right from the entry point. Members of Discipline Committee, Health and Hygiene Committee and all the faculty members could be seen scanning the students with thermal scanners, checking the vaccination certificates, so as to ensure that no student enters the campus without vaccination," he said .
He said that sanitizers have been kept at several places to ensure hand hygiene by both faculty members and students.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The official said the principal of the college, Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather along with the faculty was on toes for the last two weeks to ensure COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), as notified by the government from time to time, is followed in letter & spirit.
"The routine class work started normally with maintenance of social distancing in class rooms. The college administration got the entire campus fumigated and sanitized by the Municipal Corporation Srinagar well before re-opening of the college. College administration is further committed to ensure safety and well being of the faculty and students with main focus on imparting quality education in the campus," he said. (KNS)
