Amit Shah Calls for ‘Zero Infiltration’ Strategy, Tougher Measures Against Terror in J&K

New Delhi, Feb 5 (KNS): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, chaired a high-level security review meeting in New Delhi today, focusing on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. 


The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the Union Home Secretary, senior intelligence officials, and top officers from the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

Reaffirming the Modi government's commitment to eradicating terrorism from the region, Shah emphasized that sustained efforts have significantly weakened the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. He directed security agencies to intensify their fight against terrorism, aiming for a ‘zero infiltration’ policy and taking ruthless action against terror networks.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The Home Minister also highlighted the role of narcotics in financing terror operations, calling for stringent action against terror funding from the drug trade. He instructed authorities to expedite the appointment of forensic experts to support the swift implementation of new criminal laws.

Shah reiterated the government’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy on terrorism and urged security forces to remain vigilant and work in coordination to completely eliminate terror threats. 

He also praised security agencies for notable improvements in the overall security landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
