Srinagar, March 16 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharia Shiaan commemorated the birth anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hasan Mujtaba (AS) with great religious zeal and devotion.
Hundreds of devotees gathered to pay tribute to the noble Imam, whose life remains a beacon of patience, wisdom, and righteousness for the Muslim Ummah.
The grand event, marked by profound spiritual reflections, was attended by numerous scholars who shed light on various aspects of Imam Hasan’s (AS) life. They elaborated on his unmatched piety, generosity, and commitment to peace, emphasizing his role as the epitome of divine wisdom and the inheritor of the prophetic legacy.
The president of Anjuman Sharia Shiaan, Hojat-ul-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mousvi Safvi, delivered a solemn sermon on the occasion.
In his address, he described Imam Hasan (AS) as Sibt al-Nabi (The Grandson of the Prophet), Sayyid al-Shabab Ahl al-Jannah (The Leader of the Youth of Paradise), and Kareem Ahl al-Bayt (The Generous One of the Prophet’s Household). He highlighted how Imam Hasan (AS), despite facing immense trials, upheld the values of truth and justice, demonstrating unparalleled patience in the face of oppression.

He urged the faithful to adopt the Imam’s approach to life, characterized by compassion, forgiveness, and wisdom. "The legacy of Imam Hasan (AS) teaches us the true essence of Islam—peace, unity, and resistance against falsehood. His patience in the face of hostility and his generosity towards both friends and foes serve as lessons for humanity," he said.
Prominent scholars who addressed the gathering highlighted how Imam Hasan (AS), the eldest son of Imam Ali (AS) and Sayyida Fatima (AS), inherited the divine knowledge and spiritual authority from his grandfather, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Despite being the rightful leader of the Ummah, Imam Hasan (AS) chose reconciliation over conflict to prevent bloodshed among Muslims, showcasing his farsightedness and dedication to preserving Islamic unity.
The event concluded with collective supplications and recitations, seeking the intercession of Shahzadah Rasool (The Prince of the Prophet) for peace, harmony, and justice in the world.
