Srinagar, Sep 2 (KNS) : The concluding ceremony of the Week of Unity, organised by Anjuman Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), was held at Harinara, Sonawari.
Prior to the ceremony, a grand rally was taken out from Khanna Peth, Sonawari, to the Central Imambargah in Harinara. The procession was attended by a large number of male and female students from religious seminaries and dozens of religious schools, along with organisational workers, youth and devotees. Participants raised slogans in support of Muslim unity, the teachings and life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and Islamic brotherhood.
The Milad gathering at the Central Imambargah was attended by students from religious seminaries and schools operating under the organisation, as well as hundreds of organisational workers and devotees. Several religious scholars addressed the gathering and highlighted different aspects of the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Hujjat al-Islam Agha Syed Mujtaba Abbas Mousavi Al-Safavi, General Secretary of Anjuman Sharie Shian, said that religious gatherings and celebrations of sacred occasions strengthen the community’s bond with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Ahlul Bayt (AS).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe appreciated the efforts of Jamia Bab-ul-Ilm in promoting religious education, moral values and youth development, stating that programmes organised on important Islamic occasions play an effective role in familiarising the younger generation with the fundamental teachings of Islam.
He urged believers to make the life and high moral character of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) part of their daily conduct. He also paid tribute to the services of religious scholars, teachers, students, volunteers and organisers engaged in religious service across Kashmir.
Children also presented colourful programmes on the occasion, while a large number of devotees participated in the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations. Hujjat al-Islam Syed Tasaduq Hussain Naqvi conducted the proceedings.(KNS)
