Srinagar 05 June (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party leader (JKAP) Hamid Rather demands immediate release of engineer Rashid who won parliamentary elections from north Kashmir defeating ex-chief minister Omar Abdullah and ex-minister Sajad Lone as an independent candidate from jail.
As per the statement issued here, Hamid Rather said that there are thousands of youth languishing in jails. There are many political prisoners also who were arrested post-abrogation of Article 370.
Hamid criticised NC vice-president, Omar Abdullah for implicitly lamenting the people of the north Kashmir by describing that the public mandate will not help release of engineer Rashid.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHamid said, "The new government taking shape in Delhi should release all political prisoners as a good- will gesture. The release of engineer Rashid from Tihar Jail will serve as a mark of respect to the mandate of people."
