Karnah:(KNS) In the wake of recent stone-pelting incident in Karnah, the Army convened an urgent meeting with local community leaders, including Lambardars, Chowkidars, and former Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, to discuss maintaining peace.
This meeting followed a similar initiative by the civil administration, which had earlier gathered civil society members and other stakeholders. During that meeting, the administration had assured the public that strict action would be taken against the culprits responsible for the disturbance. They promised that those guilty of inciting stonepelting and disturbance would be brought to justice.
The Army, in its meeting, reiterated the need for cooperation between the security forces and the local communities. Army official, addressing the attendees, said, "The preservation of peace and order is a shared responsibility. We count on your leadership and influence to ensure that the situation does not spiral out of control."
Community leaders expressed their support and committed to working closely with both the military and civil administration. They also stressed the importance of addressing the underlying issues that often lead to such incidents.
While talking to Kashmir news service (KNS) The authorities have assured that investigations are ongoing, and they are determined to bring those responsible for the stone-pelting to justice.
