Srinagar Mar 05 (KNS): Despite the chilly cold, a remarkable turnout was witnessed at Chairman DPAP Ghulam Nabi Azad's public meeting held in Hillar Shahabad, Teh Dooru, Anantnag, Kashmir.
 
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Azad emphasized the importance of unity in defeating divisive forces seeking to suppress the region. He stated, "I have returned to J&K to protect my people from the present crisis. Our people are distressed, our rights have been unjustly snatched away." Azad criticized other political parties for their past failures and empty promises. He said, "Other parties have misled the people and raised slogans they have since forgotten. How can we trust them anymore?" He urged the gathering to consider his track record, stating, "You have tested them for years and witnessed my two and a half years as Chief Minister. Now, give me a chance to serve you.
 
I will bring a revolution in J&K." His call for trust in new leadership and commitment to transformative change struck a chord with the audience, signaling a potential shift in political dynamics in the region. Azad shed light on the hypocrisy of former BJP allies who are now accusing his party. He emphasized that these parties should reflect on their own past actions before pointing fingers, stating, "They were the ones who formed a government with the BJP in the past. Even today, they are pleading with them to form an alliance." Reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the land and jobs of the people of J&K. Additionally, he addressed the issue of statehood restoration, stating, "We have been promised statehood restoration, but we must continue to fight until we achieve it." Azad outlined his vision for comprehensive development in J&K.
 
He highlighted the significant strides made in infrastructure and social sectors during his tenure, including the establishment of hospitals, colleges, roads, schools, and initiatives to boost tourism. He mentioned the establishment of a medical college in Anantnag, underscoring his commitment to furthering development in the region. He pledged to continue investing in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and tourism, promising more opportunities and progress for the people of J&K. Urged the electorate not to succumb to efforts aimed at fragmenting votes or maintaining goodwill with all parties at the expense of justice for their own people. Azad emphasized, “Dividing votes or pleasing all parties will not serve the interests of our own people. It is imperative to stand united and vote with integrity to ensure justice for our community.
