Bandipora, December 1 (KNS): JKPCC District President Mushtaq Ahmad Tantary emphasized Bandipora's untapped tourism potential, urging for its inclusion on the national and international tourism maps to attract travelers and boost the local economy.
In an interview with Kashmir News Service (KNS), Tantary highlighted the district's diverse landscapes, including Asia's largest freshwater lake, Wular, and lush forests. He advocated for developing water sports facilities in the region, citing their potential to create employment opportunities for thousands of families.
“Bandipora's scenic beauty and resources can play a pivotal role in revitalizing the tourism industry,” Tantary said. Tantary also stressed the importance of eco-friendly tourism practices to preserve the natural beauty of Bandipora while fostering sustainable economic growth. He appealed to the government to invest in infrastructure projects such as improved road connectivity, modern accommodation facilities, and promotional campaigns to showcase Bandipora’s unique offerings.
