Bandipora Police arrested Eight Members of Separatist organisations for promoting terrorism & secessionist activities

Bandipora April 10 (KNS): Bandipora Police today arrested Eight Members of various proscribed organisations in connection with the Investigation of Case FIRs registered against these banned separatist outfits.


The crackdown, part of a concerted effort to curb terrorist activities and dismantle their networks, unfolded at the premises of various suspects at different locations across the district of Bandipora.

In connection with an investigation of Case FIR No.04/2024 under the UAPA Act of PS Bandipora, police arrested 03 persons namely 
01. Nazir Ahmad Ahangar 
S/o Late Abdul Khaliq Ahangar 
R/o Shahgund Hajin.
02. Sheikh Danish Mushtaq 
S/o Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh R/o Aloosa Bandipora
03. Tahir Ahmad Mir 
S/o Late Habibullah Mir
R/o Ward 2 Plan Bandipora, members of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat JK.

In connection with Case FIR No.07 & 62/2024 under the UAPA Act of Ps Sumbal,03 persons were arrested. They have been identified as
01. Ghulam Din War S/o Habib Ullah War R/o Naidkhai, member of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP).
02. Khursheed Ahmad Lone S/o Mohammad Jamal Lone R/o Naidkhai
03. Mohammad Shafi Dar S/o Sonaullah Dar R/o Karnai Mohalla Shahgund, members of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL).

Moreover in connection with Case FIR No.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel06/2024 under the UAPA Act of PS Hajin, Two people were arrested namely 
01. Ab Majeed Gojri 
         S/o Gh Mohd Gojri 
         R/o Vigpara
02. Ab Majeed lone 
         S/o Mohd Maqbool lone 
R/o Vigpara Hajin, both members of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat JK. Some objectionable material, pamphlets and eclectic devices, including mobile phones, were seized from the arrested persons.

The investigations have revealed that the members have continued to promote terrorist and secessionist activities in J&K even after the outfits with which they had affiliation were banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The arrested members were engaged in motivating impressionable youth and recruiting new members (Rukuns) in J&K to further their nefarious and secessionist activities.

The arrests serve as a stark reminder of the police's ongoing crackdown against extremism and the imperative of collective vigilance in J&K. Bandipora police remain committed to maintaining peace and security in the district. Any individual found furthering the agenda of violence, disruption, or unlawful activities will face strict legal consequences under the law,” also persons promoting secessionist & separatist ideology will face strict legal action as warranted under the law.(KNS)
