Beerwah Magam Road in Poor Condition, Commuters Face Daily Hardships

Budgam, October 26  (KNS): The condition of the Beerwah Magam road, especially the stretch from Aripanthan to Adina, has deteriorated significantly, creating major difficulties for daily commuters.

This road serves as a crucial link for several villages and towns within the Budgam district but is now plagued by large potholes and inadequate maintenance.

Local residents and travelers have expressed frustration over the road's poor state, reporting increased travel times, frequent vehicle damage, and safety concerns. “The road is in shambles,” said Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Aripanthan. “It takes us twice as long to reach Magam, and the constant bumps and potholes are damaging our vehicles.”

Commuters, including students, office workers, and traders, are among those most affected by the deteriorating conditions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We’re forced to navigate through this hazardous road daily,” said Faizan Ahmad, a student. “It's especially dangerous during rainy days when the potholes are filled with water, making it even harder to travel safely.”

Local businesses have also been impacted, as traders face difficulties transporting goods efficiently. “The poor road condition is affecting our livelihood,” said Bilal Ahmad, a local trader. “We’re incurring extra costs due to vehicle repairs and wasted time.”

Residents have criticized the lack of action from authorities despite repeated complaints.  (KNS).
