Srinagar, Mar 02 (KNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir unit has expressed hopes for a colossal gathering of one lakh people at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming rally scheduled for March 7 at Srinagar's Bakshi Stadium.
BJP Leader Altaf Thakur emphasized that the event aims to witness participation not only from one lakh BJP workers but also from the general public.
As per the BJP, the Prime Minister is slated to address a significant rally in Srinagar on March 7.
The party has meticulously deliberated on the arrangements for the event, ensuring thorough discussions on logistics, security, and crowd management.
News agency KNS reported that JK BJP chief Ravindra Raina and General Secretary Ashok Koul have actively overseen the preparedness for the mega rally, conducting exhaustive meetings with party officials.
The objective is to leave no stone unturned in ensuring seamless arrangements for PM Modi's visit.
"Projections suggest a huge turnout, with expectations exceeding one lakh attendees from South Kashmir alone. Huge numbers are anticipated from Central and North Kashmir, indicating widespread support for the BJP in the region, " one of the BJP leaders told KNS.
In addition to the anticipated rally in Srinagar, BJP sources hint at the likelihood of Prime Minister Modi holding an election rally Jammu and Kashmir in the near future. However, as of now, PM Modi is slated to address the public rally in Srinagar.

A top BJP leader expressed optimism, anticipating visits from the party's top brass to actively participate in public rallies ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
However, these plans hinge upon the finalization of all candidates for the Lok Sabha constituencies by the party's high command.
The BJP's proactive approach in orchestrating these rallies underscores its determination to engage with voters and solidify support in Jammu and Kashmir. These rallies not only provide a platform for party leaders to address critical issues but also serve as an opportunity to galvanize grassroots support for the BJP's electoral endeavors in the region.
In a related development, the BJP announced Dr. Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishor Sharma as its candidates from Udhampur and Jammu constituencies, respectively, for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Both candidates are incumbent Members of Parliament who had emerged victorious in the 2019 elections.
The announcement came as part of the first list of high-profile candidates finalized by the party's Central Election Committee late Thursday night. The list, unveiled today at a press conference in New Delhi, includes 195 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls scheduled to be held in April-May this year.
The inclusion of high-profile names like PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari underscores the BJP's strategic approach towards the upcoming elections, aiming to consolidate its position across various constituencies, including those in Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
