The BJP's election committee discussed a list of candidates presented by the Jammu and Kashmir BJP Election Committee. The final selection of candidates for the respective constituencies will be made by the party's High Command.
This meticulous approach to candidate selection underscores the BJP's commitment to field individuals who align with the party's values and vision, and resonate with the electorate.

It is expected that around 100 candidate names for the Lok Sabha polls will be released soon.

The BJP's preparations for the upcoming elections extend beyond candidate selection. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address an election rally in Srinagar on March 7, underscoring the party's efforts to connect with voters in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir in 2024 are poised to witness significant changes due to the region's transition from a state to a union territory. Despite this transformation, the region remains crucial for national parties, with the BJP aiming to contest all five Lok Sabha seats in the Union Territory.
Emphasis is placed on securing victory on previously held seats and in the newly created Rajouri-Poonch-Anantnag Lok Sabha seat following the delimitation process.(KNS)
