BJP ready for J&K Assembly Elections with strong strategy & candidates, Says Dr Nirmal Singh

Srinagar, Aug 22 (KNS):As the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections draw near, senior BJP leader Dr. Nirmal Singh said the party is well-prepared to participate, with a clear plan and a strong list of candidates.
Speaking to news agency KNS, Dr. Singh expressed optimism about the party’s chances of winning a majority in the Assembly, which would enable it to form a stable government in the region.
"The BJP is fully prepared to contest the upcoming J&K Assembly polls with a strong strategy and the right candidates," said Dr. Singh. "We are optimistic about winning a majority of the seats and forming a stable government that can bring much-needed development and prosperity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir."
Dr. Singh also revealed that the BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) has received 50 percent of the finalized candidate list, which will soon be reviewed by the Parliamentary Board. "We have already forwarded half of the list to the CEC, and the first list of candidates is expected to be released shortly after the Parliamentary Board meeting," he added.
Sources within the party have confirmed that the finalized panel of candidates has been forwarded to BJP headquarters. "Panels for each of the constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir have been submitted, and the final decision on candidates will be made by the National Election Committee, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," a party insider disclosed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The BJP leadership remains confident in its preparations and strategy, hoping to secure a majority of the 90 Assembly seats up for election. "Our focus is on ensuring that the aspirations and needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir are adequately represented in government," Dr. Singh emphasized. "We are ready to bring development, peace, and prosperity to the region."
This election marks a pivotal moment for Jammu and Kashmir, as it will be the first Assembly election since the region was reorganized as a Union Territory in 2019. Voting will take place across 90 seats in three phases—on September 18, 25, and October 1—with vote counting scheduled for October 4.
While the BJP prepares for a highly competitive election, the political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir remains dynamic. Recent Lok Sabha polls saw the NC and Congress, part of the INDIA bloc, secure 41.6% of the total vote share, while the BJP and its allies managed 31.7%. However, the BJP remains determined to reverse its fortunes and capitalize on its strategy in the upcoming Assembly elections.KNS)
