Black Bear Captured Alive in Kulgam; Released Back into Natural Habitat

Srinagar Dec 21(KNS)A black bear, which had posed a potential threat to the local community, was successfully captured alive in Amnoo Kulgam. The operation was led by Imtiyaz, the Wildlife Incharge, alongside a dedicated team of wildlife professionals, including Bashir Ahmad, Showkat Ahmad, Adil Ahmad, and Fayaz Ahmad. The team worked diligently to tranquilize and safely capture the bear, ensuring minimal harm to both the animal and the community.

 
After the bear was captured, it was carefully released back into its natural habitat, allowing it to continue its life in the wild without posing a further risk to residents.
 
The swift and coordinated efforts of the wildlife department were widely praised by the local community.
