Anantnag, Dec 12 (KNS): The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Anantnag has issued a circular imposing a strict ban on private tuitions by government school teaching staff, including Lecturers, Masters, and Teachers, working under its administrative control. The move comes in line with the directions issued by the School Education Department to ensure compliance with established rules and guidelines.
The circular, issued under No. CEO/A/Estt-II/58761-75/24, dated 12.12.2024, directs all concerned staff not to engage in private tuition or employment in any private institution or coaching center. The DDOs and HOIs have been instructed to certify that “None of the Lecturer, Master and Teacher is unauthorizedly involved in private tuitions/coaching.”
The CEO emphasized that any teaching personnel found violating the directives will face strict disciplinary action as it constitutes a serious breach of the Jammu & Kashmir Employees Service Conduct Rules, 1971.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Furthermore, Zonal-level monitoring committees have been directed to maintain a strict vigil over violators and report any deviations promptly to the office.
The circular reiterates that “Any deviation shall invite disciplinary action as warranted under rules.” The Chief Education Officer urged all stakeholders, including Principals, ZEOs, and Headmasters, to ensure strict compliance. (KNS)
