BSF DG reviews operational preparedness at LoC in North Kmr

Srinagar, Nov 08 (KNS): The Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Nitin Agrawal, visited the forward areas of North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Wednesday.
 
Sources in the BSF told KNS that during his visit, DG Agrawal was given detailed briefings by the field commanders on the current security situation, counter-infiltration measures, and ongoing anti-terrorist operations in the region.
 
“The discussions also covered strategies to deal with the evolving security challenges and threats emanating from across the border.He interacted with the troops and appreciated their dedication to their duties in the challenging terrain and extreme weather conditions,” sources said.
 
The BSF DG expressed his satisfaction with the preparedness and the vigilance of the troops deployed along the LoC.
 
“He praised their professionalism and valor, emphasizing the critical role they play in safeguarding the nation's security. He assured them of the unwavering support and commitment to providing the necessary resources for their operational effectiveness”.
 
As per the BSF officials the primary purpose of his visit was to assess and review the operational preparedness of BSF units deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in the region.

 “This visit also provided an opportunity for DG Agrawal to gain a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges faced by the troops while defending the borders,” they said.
 
The BSF Kashmir unit, via their official social media handle, also posted a message, “Shri Nitin Agrawal visited forward areas of #Bandipore & reviewed the operational preparedness of units deployed at #LoC. DG interacted with troops & lauded their steadfast tenacity & dedication in challenging terrain & harsh weather conditions”.
 
“The BSF plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the security and integrity of India's borders, and DG Nitin Agrawal's visit underscores the government's commitment to providing the necessary resources and support for the troops' operational effectiveness” the officials said and added that the interaction with local troops and assessment of the operational preparedness of units is crucial for maintaining the security and peace along the LoC.
