BSF special director reviews security situation in Jmu frontier

Srinagar, Aug 02 (KNS): Border Security Force (BSF) Special Director Y B Khurania arrived in Jammu on Friday for a two-day visit, where he conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation along the International Border (IB) amid concerns over potential cross-border infiltration.
Upon arrival, Khurania was welcomed by BSF Inspector General (IG) D K Boora and other senior officers of the Jammu frontier.
Boora provided Khurania with a detailed presentation that covered all critical aspects of border security and operational dominance along the IB.
Khurania chaired a high-level security review meeting attended by IG BSF Jammu, IG BSF Kashmir, and other senior officers of the Jammu frontier.
The meeting focused on assessing the current security landscape and devising strategies to enhance border management and counter infiltration attempts.

IG D K Boora emphasized the significance of the visit, saying, "This visit by our Special Director is crucial in reaffirming our strategies and ensuring that we are well-equipped to tackle any challenges that may arise along the border."
Khurania's visit comes at a time when security forces are on high alert due to the increased threat of cross-border infiltration.
His review and the subsequent discussions are expected to bolster the confidence and morale of the personnel stationed along the IB in Jammu.
The Special Director also took the opportunity to personally interact with the jawans, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to duty. "Your relentless efforts in safeguarding our nation's borders are deeply appreciated. Your courage and dedication inspire us all," he said.
