Srinagar, January 8 (KNS): Chairman of District Development Council Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan on Wednesday met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and submitted a memorandum of demands.

Among the key issues, Khan emphasized the need for a stoppage of the Vande Bharat train at Budgam railway station, citing its potential to enhance connectivity and promote tourism to destinations like Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Tosamaidan, and Charar-e-Sharief.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Khan also extended gratitude to the LG Sinha for his continued support in developmental projects in Budgam, particularly the construction of bridges over Nalla Sukhnag in the Beerwah constituency, which has been a long-pending demand of the local population.

LG assured the DDC Chairman that appropriate action will be taken to address the issues projected by him during the interaction.(KNS)
