Srinagar, June 10 (KNS): In the third Narendra Modi-led government, most key cabinet ministers have retained the portfolios they held in the previous administration. While some new faces have joined the cabinet, notable leaders like BJP president J P Nadda and Jual Oram have returned as ministers.
- Rajnath Singh (BJP): Continues as the Defence Minister. He has had a long political career, including roles as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and BJP national president.
- Amit Shah (BJP): Retains the Home and Cooperation portfolios. He has also served as BJP national president for six years.
- Nitin Gadkari (BJP): Remains the Minister for Road and Highways. He is known for his association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and his advocacy for bio-fuels.
- Nirmala Sitharaman (BJP): Continues as Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs. She is a Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka.
- S Jaishankar (BJP): Retains the External Affairs portfolio. A career diplomat, he has served as India's envoy to Beijing and as foreign secretary.
- Piyush Goyal (BJP): Remains the Minister of Commerce and Industry. Previously, he also held the portfolios of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Textiles.

- Pralhad Joshi (BJP): Shifts from Parliamentary Affairs, Coal, and Mines to Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy.
- Sarbananda Sonowal (BJP): Continues as Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
- Virendra Kumar (BJP): Retains the Social Justice and Empowerment portfolio.
- Giriraj Singh (BJP): Moves from Rural Development to Textiles.
- Jyotiraditya Scindia (BJP): Shifts from Civil Aviation and Steel to Communications and Development of North Eastern Region.
- Ashwini Vaishnaw (BJP): Continues with Railways and IT, adding Information and Broadcasting to his responsibilities.
- Kiren Rijiju (BJP): Moves from Law to Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs.
- Jitan Ram Manjhi (Hindustani Awami Morcha (S)): Takes on the portfolio of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
- Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh (JD-U): Becomes the Minister for Panchayati Raj and Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying.
