Candlelight march organised against killing of civilians at Sonamarg by militants

 Kupwara, Oct 21(KNS): A Candlelight March was held at Kupwara on Monday evening  in protest against the killing of Seven civilians — a local doctor and six non-local workers in a militant attack at a construction site in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal on Sunday evening.

The civil society at Kupwara took to the streets on Monday evening and held a candlelight vigil to denounce the civilian killings.

According to protesting members, they collectively denounced the killings, which they believe are against the spirit of humanity.
As a mark of protest, the Civil Society Kupwara held a Candlelight March against the civilian killing incident that took place on Sunday Morning at Sonmarg Ganderbal.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The candle light March begun from Bus stand Kupwara , passed through bye-pass Kupwara, culminated at martyrs memorial Rigipora  , expressing their sympathies with the families of the innocent civilians of the target killing by militants. The protesters denounced the attack and expressed solidarity with the families of the civilians killed.

“Killing innocent civilian is the biggest crime, and the perpetrators must be punished for their actions. It’s against the ethos of humanity,” protestors said.(KNS).
