CCIK Delegation Led by President Tariq Ghani and Spokesperson Zeeshan Mohiuddin Meets Union Minister Jitendra Singh

JK Revolution, 6 Sep (KNS)- A delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir (CCIK), led by President Tariq Ghani and spokesperson Zeeshan Mohiuddin , met with Union Minister of India Dr. Jitendra Singh today to discuss key issues affecting the business community and tourism industry in Jammu & Kashmir.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted several critical matters, seeking the Union Minister's intervention for swift resolution:

1.Renewal of Tourism Registration: The CCIK delegation emphasised the importance of streamlining the renewal process for tourism-related businesses, which is vital for ensuring smooth operations and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

2.Amnesty for Power Tariff on Commercial Establishment: The delegation requested an amnesty scheme for power tariff for commercial establishments that have faced financial difficulties. This step would help the business community recover from the economic impact of various disruptions over the past few years.

3.Airport Facilities and Infrastructure: Issues related to airport parking, baggage handling, and overall facilities for tourists were raised. 4.Gulmarg Land Lease: The delegation also discussed the renewal of the Gulmarg land lease, stressing that timely renewal is essential for ongoing tourism investments and development in the region.

5.Support for Business Community, NPA, and Loan Accounts: Lastly, the CCIK highlighted the challenges faced by the business community, especially regarding Non-Performing Assets (NPA) and loan accounts. The delegation called for "handholding" support from the government to help businesses recover and thrive, ensuring the region's economic stability.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh assured the delegation of his full cooperation and expressed his commitment to addressing the concerns raised. He emphasized the importance of continued dialogue between the government and local business leaders to ensure the sustainable development of the region’s tourism and commercial sectors.
