Srinagar, July 13, July:- The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) solemnly observes Muharram, a period of mourning and remembrance for the sacrifices made by Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in the Battle of Karbala. This significant occasion is a time for reflection, prayer, and solidarity among the people of Kashmir.
The CCIK acknowledges the importance of Muharram in the cultural and religious fabric of the region and stands in unity with the community during this period of grief and reflection.
CCIK President Tariq Ghani emphasizes the need for adequate support and facilities to ensure a smooth and respectful observance of Muharram. "It is imperative that the necessary infrastructure and resources are in place to facilitate the community's commemoration of this solemn occasion," he stated.
The CCIK, along with its executive committee urgently appeals to the authorities to ensure the provision of essential services during this period:

Medical Supplies and Facilities is essential to handle any emergencies that may arise during the observances. The health and safety of the participants must be prioritized and Other Essential Services like Provision of clean water, sanitation, and efficient transportation is vital to support the community during this significant period. These services ensure that the participants can commemorate Muharram without facing any undue hardships.
Tariq Ghani added, "We urge all relevant departments to collaborate and ensure that the observance of Muharram is conducted smoothly and respectfully. The community's needs during this time must be met with diligence and empathy."
