Srinagar, Oct 23 (KNS): PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday urged the central government to open talks with Pakistan, stating that such a dialogue is essential for bringing peace and stability to Kashmir.
Speaking to reporters at Budgam, Mehbooba said that people of J&K are the true victims of this prolonged enmity of India and Pakistan. People of Kashmir, property, and livelihoods have been devastated, she said.
Mehbooba said that until India and Pakistan engage in meaningful dialogue, similar to the peace efforts initiated during former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s time, the situation will only worsen, with the common people of J&K suffering the most.
"Our poor laborers and even our doctors, who have served the community with dedication, have become victims of this hostility," she said.
She also criticized the changing stance on dialogue with Pakistan, pointing out that mixed messages from the ruling government further delay the peace process.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"As long as these two nations are at odds, the people of J&K will continue to be crushed.”
She said that the Govt should act swiftly and open dialogue with Pakistan to stop the bloodshed in J&K.
People of J&K, regardless of political affiliations, desire peace and an end to the violence, she added.(KNS)
