CIK Launches Major Raids to Stop Online Extremism Across Kashmir

Srinagar Nov 09 (KNS): In a major crackdown on online terror networks, Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) carried out coordinated raids across the Kashmir Valley today. Acting on reliable information about the online glorification of terrorism and the radicalisation of youth, CIK teams searched 10 locations in Srinagar, Kulgam, Baramulla, Shopian and Pulwama.

The operation, supported by local police, focused on people suspected of using social media to spread hatred, promote violence and push anti-national content. Officials said the move reflects the CIK’s strong commitment to protecting public order and ensuring regional security by targeting digital threats at their source.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Nine suspects, including one woman, have been detained. CIK has recovered several digital devices, SIM cards, mobile phones and tablets. All seized material will undergo forensic examination and is expected to provide key leads for further investigation.

Authorities say this is only the beginning of a larger effort to curb online radicalisation. More raids and detentions are likely as CIK continues its mission to shield Kashmir’s youth from Pakistan-backed handlers, violent extremism and to maintain peace in the valley.(KNS)
