Srinagar May 23,(KNS): Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Leader & AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Thursday called on LG Shri Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar and discussed the current security situation.

Mir briefed LG about the fallout of closure of tourist spots in the aftermath of the ghastly and highly deplorable terrorist attack on innocent tourists.in Bisaran Pahalgam.

Many issues concerning UT also came under discussion in the meeting.

Mir urged upon LG that swift efforts be put in place to revive tourism, besides tourist spots like Aru, Betaab Valley, Achabal, Veerinag, Kokernag, Sinthan and other tourist sports, which have been closed, be reopened at the earliest, which will help revival of tourism.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The tourism industry is critical to the J&K's economy Mir told the LG and sought his intervention to address this pressing and various other issues concerning the public.

Mir further told the LG that Tourism stakeholders have suffered huge losses urging him (LG) to consider compensation in their favour. (KNS)
