Srinagar, March 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has stressed the need to address key issues, particularly the concerns of daily wagers, in the state Assembly. Speaking to the media, he confirmed that discussions on the matter would take place in the Assembly to find a resolution.

"I wanted to tackle this issue of daily wagers. A committee has been formed, and I have given them six months to complete their work," said CM Abdullah. His remarks come as part of an ongoing effort to find a resolution for the daily wager issue that has remained a point of contention for many in the region.

The Chief Minister also pointed out that the discussions would be held during the upcoming budget session of the Assembly, where relevant measures and solutions would be presented. "We will keep our budget in the next year's budget session," he confirmed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Addressing the political dynamics in the state, CM Abdullah responded to the opposition's stance, stating, "They should accept that the name of the opposition is their opposition because they have to oppose everything. We are also in opposition. We have done the same. This is how the Assembly and Parliament work." His comments reflected the competitive nature of the political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir.

Omar Abdullah also took the opportunity to address a recent political gesture that had drawn attention. "As I said, this love letter was not for BJP, it was for BJP voters, for the voters of the National Conference, to the voters of the PDP, PC, Congress, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir," he explained. The Chief Minister made it clear that he had no hesitation in owning the message, suggesting it was meant to reach a broader audience within the state. (KNS)
