Jammu, March 2 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) held a key meeting on Sunday under the leadership of senior leader & MLA Bandipora Nizam-ud-Din Bhat to discuss the party’s strategy for the upcoming budget session of the J&K Legislative Assembly.
Being part of the ruling alliance, the Congress aims to ensure smooth governance while addressing key electoral promises, particularly the restoration of statehood, sources told KNS.
The leadership also discussed strategies to counter opposition challenges.
Later in the day, a Congress delegation is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at 3 PM to discuss the budget session strategy.
The discussions will also cover certain aspects of the budget where the alliance may face scrutiny from the opposition. Additionally, Congress leaders will deliberate on their stance regarding various bills to be presented in the Assembly. (KNS)
