Congress Slams Monga, Bhat for Anti-Party Activities; calls them 'products of conflict'

Srinagar, Oct 21(KNS): The Congress Party criticized Ghulam Nabi Monga and Mohd Anwar Bhat for indulging in anti-party activities. The meeting also accused them of encouraging others—who are not even basic members of the party—to act in ways that harm the party's interests.

In a meeting of senior leaders chaired by Srinagar District Congress Committee (DCC) President Irfan Naqib, The meeting also accused them of encouraging others—who are not even basic members of the party—to act in ways that harm the party's interests.

The committee described Monga and Bhat as "products of conflict," asserting that they have failed to win even local elections such as panchayat or ward elections, and questioned their political relevance. "Monga and Bhat are leading groups in name only, and many of those they claim to represent are not even registered members of the party," the meeting noted.

The meeting further alleged that both Monga and Bhat have consistently worked against the party and its leadership, often supporting opponents for personal gain. "They are not grounded in the party's grassroots. Their political careers are failing, and their attempts to undermine the party leadership have been futile," the meeting said.

It was also pointed out that despite receiving substantial support from the Congress Party in the past, including party tickets for assembly elections, both Monga and Bhat failed to secure even 400 votes in these contests.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelTheir political influence, according to the meeting, has diminished significantly due to their repeated failures.

The meeting emphasized that Monga has repeatedly opposed decisions by the party high command and has contributed to factionalism and indiscipline within the party. "He continues to create divisions and promotes discord, but he has always failed in these attempts," the meeting added.

The committee expressed surprise at Monga’s recent attempts to gather Congress workers who are not even active members of the party, suggesting that Monga and Bhat need to engage in self-introspection given their failed political careers. Both leaders, according to the committee, have never been able to secure their security deposits in elections despite holding important positions within the party.

The DCC meeting concluded by stating that they would soon request J&K PCC Chief to take disciplinary action against Monga and Bhat, aiming to "weed out the deadwood" and prevent further destabilization of the party. "Monga and Bhat have always prioritized their self-interest over the party, and their promotion of factionalism is unacceptable," the meeting concluded.(KNS).
