Srinagar, Aug 07 (KNS): Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is set to preside over a crucial meeting in New Delhi tomorrow, gathering key Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir, party leaders said on Wednesday here.
This strategic meeting follows a recent visit by the Election Commission of India to the region, signaling the party's preparation for the forthcoming Assembly elections.
The leaders will include prominent Congress figures such as Vikar Rasool, the party president for Jammu and Kashmir, along with Raman Bhalls, Tariq Hamid Karra, GA Mir, Pirzada Muhammad Sayeed, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Lal Singh, and Ashok Bhan, the party's legal advisor.
A party leader said that the primary objective of this meeting is to solicit detailed feedback from these local leaders regarding the political landscape and voter sentiment in Jammu and Kashmir.

Another leader said that the leaders will be asked to provide their insights on how to enhance the party's appeal and mobilize support effectively. This feedback will be crucial for crafting targeted strategies and addressing any issues that may hinder the party's performance.
