New Delhi, Nov 29, (KNS): The Congress Working Committee (CWC) met Friday amid the ongoing Winter session of Parliament, which has seen repeated disruptions due to the Modi government's refusal to engage in discussions on key national issues.
The party expressed grave concerns over revelations of corruption involving a major business group with close ties to the Prime Minister, ongoing violence in Manipur, and attempts by the BJP to stoke communal tensions across various states.
In its resolution, the CWC reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991, which it accused the BJP of violating. The meeting also discussed the party's performance in the recent state elections, including the significant victory of Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the Wayanad by-election, which has sparked widespread enthusiasm among party workers and the public.
The CWC extended thanks to the people of Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir for their support, noting that the INC, in alliance with other parties, had successfully rejected BJP's divisive campaign strategies.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHowever, it acknowledged disappointing results in Haryana and Maharashtra, attributing these outcomes to alleged electoral manipulation and malpractices.

The committee emphasized that Congress must remain united, resilient, and disciplined, reinforcing its commitment to issues like caste-based census, social justice, economic fairness, and unemployment.
Lastly, the CWC expressed deep concerns over the integrity of the electoral process, accusing the Election Commission of bias and questioning the fairness of recent elections. The party vowed to turn these concerns into a national movement, pushing for reforms to safeguard free and fair elections in India.(KNS)
