SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 27(KNS): In a celebration of strength and heritage, Dal Lake in Kashmir hosted a historic event, the first-ever traditional boat race for women, organized by JKARS.

Joining hands with JKARS, celebrated sportswoman Bilquis Mir, who served as India's first woman jury member at the recent Paris Olympics for water sports, volunteered as the chief organizer.

Each participant received a certificate and attractive cash prizes, with special awards for the top three finishers.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Burhan, President of JKARS, and a felicitation of Bilquis Mir by VC LCMA, Younis Malik, for her contributions to the sport and her efforts in bringing honor to the Valley.
