Urges Officers to Ensure Completion of Projects Within the Stipulated Time Frame

 Bandipora, November 23(KNS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, along with Chairman District Development Council (DDC), Ab Gani Bhat, conducted an extensive field tour of Naidkhai, Gund Jahangeer, Hajin, and other adjacent areas on Saturday. The tour aimed to review the progress of ongoing developmental projects and works in the region.

The Deputy Commissioner visited several key locations, including the BDO Office Naidkhai, Gulabwari Naidkhai, Saddatpora, Gund Jahangeer, Municipality Office Hajin, Tehsil Office Hajin, Public Parks in Markundal and Nesbal, and the under-construction playfield at Nesbal.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner engaged with locals, listened to their grievances, and assured swift redressal of issues. At Naidkhai, the public raised concerns about the upgradation of the Khuemeni road, the Patwar Khana, and other important public matters. The DC assured that these concerns would be addressed on priority.

While inspecting the WSS Saddatpora Naidkhai water supply scheme, constructed at a cost of ?999.30 lakh, the DC was informed that 100% of the civil work has been completed, along with 60% of the mechanical work. The scheme is expected to be completed by December this year.

While inspecting the ongoing drainage work at Gund Jahangeer, the DC directed the concerned departments to expedite the shifting of utilities and complete the work within the set timeline.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also urged officials to finalize the necessary requirements and formalities for the widening and upgradation of the Hajin-Markundal road.

At the under-construction additional office accommodation in Hajin, the DC directed the Executive Engineer R&B Sumbal  to enhance the pace of work and  make the building functional.

While assessing the progress of the public park at Markundal, the DC was informed that the park is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.3.20 crore, with work of  Rs1.20 crore already completed.

The DC also visited the under-construction public park and playfield at Nesbal to review the progress of these projects.

Emphasizing the importance of developmental works in improving the quality of life for the public, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers to remain diligent and ensure the timely completion of all projects while adhering to the highest quality standards.

Among others, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by SDM Sumbal Murtaza Ahmad Sheikh, ACD Irfan Bahadur, CPO Mohammad Maqbool, Tehsildar Hajin, ExEn R&B Sumbal, and other concerned officials.(KNS).
